A place to be heard.
A way to return to yourself.
HAVENA began with a simple belief:
Every woman deserves a place where she can be heard.
Sometimes what we need first is not an answer, advice, or another thing to do.
Sometimes we need a place to pause, speak freely, breathe, and hear ourselves again.
HAVENA is being built to make room for that.
What we believe
AI is not the center. She is.
Technology can provide access.
AI can listen.
Neither can replace human connection.
HAVENA is not designed to keep a woman talking to AI for as long as possible.
We hope that being heard can help her return to herself—with more clarity, more agency, and more freedom to return to her own life.
Don't lead her deeper into you.
Help her return deeper into herself.
Where HAVENA is today
HAVENA is an early-stage working product.
Today, a woman can enter without creating an account, begin in a Listening Space, pause to breathe, and choose what she wants to keep in My Heart.
We are building slowly and learning carefully.
Some parts of the larger HAVENA vision—including community connection, physical Safe Spaces, and ways for organizations to provide access while protecting each woman's privacy—are still being explored and developed.
Stay open. Observe what is true.
Add only what reality shows is needed.
That principle shapes how we build.
What we are exploring
We are exploring a simple question:
Can technology help a woman feel heard without making her more dependent on technology?
HAVENA is interested in the space between digital support and real life.
Can an online moment of being heard help someone return to herself?
Can it make it easier to reach another person?
Can technology sometimes know when to become quieter—and make room for human connection?
We don't assume we already know the answers.
We want to learn.
From online space to real human connection
Our longer-term vision reaches beyond the screen.
We imagine HAVENA becoming a bridge:
Be heard → Return to yourself → Connect → Return to life
Over time, that may include a network of physical Safe Spaces—trusted places in local communities where a woman knows there is somewhere she can go and someone there to welcome her.
Not every woman will need that door.
But we would like the door to exist.
Technology can provide the door online.
Community can open another door in real life.
Learning with others
HAVENA is still becoming.
We welcome thoughtful conversations with researchers, universities, women's organizations, community leaders, churches, technologists, and others exploring women's emotional well-being, human connection, privacy, community, and responsible AI.
We are especially interested in a question that sits at the heart of HAVENA:
How can technology support human agency and connection without quietly taking control away from the person it is meant to serve?
We don't need every conversation to become a partnership.
Sometimes the most valuable beginning is simply learning from one another.
Who is building HAVENA
Teresa Wang
Founder, HAVENATeresa's work with women and emotional support began long before HAVENA.
HAVENA grew from years of listening, community experience, and a personal question that became increasingly difficult to ignore:
What would it mean to create a place where a woman does not have to perform, explain everything, or become someone different before she is welcome?
HAVENA is one attempt to explore that question—through technology, community, and eventually real places where women can meet.
